Plaxo and linken are great and easy to use. You can upload your contacts, information about yourself, your resume and what you are doing. I think this is the way of the future and I like the idea of being able to have it all together. I can go to just one place for all my stuff. Also, other people can see what is happening with me.
A personal website is fine, but I think it may be difficult for others in the same field to find you. It seems easier to go to a site like plaxo and you can see everyone there, the website is already up and running you just add in your info and you are off. A personal website would be great, but it takes more work and I would be worried the right people would not see it.
I find this social networking fascinating and fun to work with. It makes life a little easier to know about all the sites and be able to chose what works best for me.

I just spent some time on Librarything. I really like that I can catalog my books and see what others have said about the type of books that I like. They offer reviews of books and suggest others that I might like to read. I couldn't post a picture though, I tried when I personalized my account. I like that I can keep track of my library books and can see what others are reading and thinking about. Check out my library thing at:

check this out, it is so funny... although the boyfriend doesn't think it's that funny. What a fun website to play around with and have some fun.
I found a few things that would be fun and emailed them off to friends and relatives. But this one is the best. In the bottom of the Grand Canyon during August, sitting in a creek!!!

I enjoyed and have used youtube in the past. It was fun going through videos and choosing one for the blog. I have found the short video's for our class purpose to be of great help. They are short and to the point. The short video is useful for the classroom setting. I will incorporate these video's into my classroom.

I found a podcast with Oscar Wegner. He is a tennis instructor. It is a lesson on the backhand volley. Very Interesting. I enjoyed it.

Wow, I just spent an hour on Technorati. I really like it, I like the tags, I toggled Kobe Bryant and read many articles of interest, the I went into blogs and found a tennis information, extremely cool. I also really liked the top 100. This is the best site yet in this class. I can really like and use this one. It has everything...
I just spent some time on del.icio.us site. I can see some possibilities for all of us in the athletic department. It would save time if we could all use the site to share information about teaching, coaching, and inspirational stuff regarding our job in the school. I like that I could see my bookmarks from home at my school computer and that I could share important sites with friends or others at school. I will be bring up this idea at the next faculty meeting for input from others.
